The Purpose Of Hard Times

The Purpose Of Hard Times

“Uh!!!!! Why me?!!!’’
“ Can my life please be normal?”
“I just want you to make more time for me, am I asking for too much?!”

” I would really be happier if I earned some more money. Nothing seems to change no matter how hard I pray or work!”

These are words that most, if not all of us have once said at some point in our lives. Heck, we probably lamented about something similar just today.

Think of hard times like doing your laundry. During the process, your clothes may have to be turned inside out, scrunched, squeezed and twisted, but in the end, they come out …. cleaner.

In my life, I have found that the toughest times have led to some of my most productive phases. That’s because I am learning to channel all  my energy into the things and the people who matter the most. That’s not to say that I completely block out everything that’s happened, No. We can try to forget what or who hurt us, but we must never forget what it taught us.

The most difficult and uncomfortable journeys usually lead to beautiful destinations. You must believe that your lost job is leading to a better job. Your failed relationship is leading to a much better relationship. Whatever happens, train yourself to stand tall and remain positive about YOUR future, even when you don’t feel like it. Spend time around only the people who strengthen and encourage you. Try to look at things in a BRIGHTER light (and there’s always one!) NEVER GIVE UP. Trust me, I know it can be almost impossible sometimes, but we must train our minds to KEEP HOPE ALIVE.

And remember absolutely NOTHING lasts forever and that includes what you are going through. To everything, there is a season: A time to sow, and a time to reap; A time to cry, and a time to laugh. Learn to persevere. This too shall soon pass!
